As expected, Meizu today took the wraps off a budget smartphone in China. The Meizu 6T carries a relatively low price tag, yet offers features like tall 18:9 aspect ratio display, and dual cameras at the back. Let’s take a look at the smartphone in detail.

Meizu 6T pricing and availability

As far as pricing is concerned, the Meizu 6T has been launched in three variants. The base variant with 32GB storage and 3GB RAM is priced at RMB 799 (Rs 8,500 approximately), while the mid-variant with 32GB storage and 4GB RAM costs RMB 999 (Rs 10,500 approximately). The top model with 64GB storage and 4GB RAM is priced at RMB 1,099 (Rs 11,600 approximately).

Buyers will be able to choose from Black, Gold, and Red colors. The smartphone will be going on sale in China from June 1. There is currently no word on whether Meizu plans to launch the device in India.

Meizu 6T specifications, features

As far as specifications are concerned, the Meizu 6T flaunts a 5.7-inch HD+ display with 2.5D curved display, and 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood is a MediaTek MT6750 octa-core chipset, and there is the option to expand the internal memory by using a microSD card.

For photography, there is a dual-camera setup at the back. The setup includes a 13-megapixel primary Sony IMX278 sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor with f/2.4 aperture. For selfies, there’s an 8-megapixel snapper up front with f/2.0 aperture.

The rest of the features include a fingerprint sensor, 3,300mAh battery, and connectivity options like 4G VoLTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS, and GLONASS. On the software front, the dual-SIM smartphone runs a dated Android 7.0 Nougat wrapped under Flyme OS 6.2.
